Virgil W. Vaughn

	Private family services were held Wednesday, September 3 for Virgil W. Vaughn, 81, of Willoughby, Ohio, a retired self-employed sales representative, at Davis Funeral Home, Willoughby, Ohio.
	Mr. Vaughn died September 1, 2003 at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.  He was born January 29,, 1922 in Crainville in Williamson County, Ill.  His family moved to Du Quoin in 1932.  He graduated from Du Quoin Township High School in 1940 and worked at Du Quoin Packing Company.  He lived in Lyndhurst for many  years before moving to Breckenridge Village in Willoughby nine years ago.
	He was a World War II, U.S. Navy veteran and a 1947 graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity.  He was also a member of Willoughby United Methodist Church, Acacia Lodge 651 Free and Accepted Masons and the Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland.
	Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Ethel Lockwood Vaughn; son, David (Patricia) Vaughn of Pittsburgh, Penn.; daughters, Janet (Paul) Addison of West Lafayette, Ind. and Karen (fiancee, Ed Culton) Vaughn of Mayfield Heights; grandchildren, Matthew Vaughn, Michael Vaughn, Mark Addison and Rachel Addison; sisters, Virginia (Bob) Green and Betty (Joe) Green, both of Du Quoin and a brother, Richard (Patsy) Vaughn of Pinckneyville.
	His parents, W. Roy and Mary (Farmer) Vaughn, are deceased.
	Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
